I have chosen shapes and designs because I got the best grades in these investigations. I chose this unit because I thought that it was the easiest investigation of them all. So I thought I should do my reflection on it. I have learned so much from it that I didn’t know before. These investigations have helped me so much for in the future. This book taught me so much that I did not know before. I have learned the most from the unit project, in the beginning of the unit which I got a good grade on and I was proud of my self. I learned about angles, the different types of symmetry, and all the different types of shapes, and a lot of other stuff. This unit impacted my life because there are shapes every where in the everyday life. There are shapes every where you look even in your house and even in your room. You can’t avoid them My favorite investigation is investigation 1. This investig ation was my favorite because it was the easiest out of them all. I also liked having all the reflections after the investigations because it helped review lesson that we just did so that I did better on my tests and quizzes.
Shapes and designs Investigation2 Reflection 2 Reflection by: Joshua roerig Class 6-p 1a. The measure of an angle is that if you take and angle ruler and take the main line which looks like ___ and measure it with this and that is your angle.
1b You take the line on the ruler that says 0 and You take the other side of the ruler and you see which the angle is and that is your angle. 2 The ways to estimate an angles are to think of a clock and the longer hand would be the 0 angle and the littler hand would be the angle that you measure and if you look at the 12 as 0 and you turned it the hand to the 3 it would be 90degreesw and it is split in 30 so if the long hand was on the 12 and the little hand was on the 2 that would be 60 degrees.
3a for two lines to be parallel is that there are two lines that look like this then if they continue then they will never intersect and if they were even just 2 or 3 degrees off at some point they will intersect.
3b The patterns that you would find is that the measures of an angle inside parallel lines that are opposite sides of the transversal are equal 4 angles are made by 2 transversal intersecting lines the angles across each other have the same measure(vertical angles) The sum of 2 angles that share a side and whose side forms a straight line is 180degrees (supplementary angles).
